Why Some Large Fleas May Not Shock Immediately
DocFlea is built with very fine teeth to help detect and remove fleas during regular grooming. It works best when used early and consistently, before fleas grow, feed, and spread.
Some fully grown or blood-fed adult fleas can become larger and may stay on top of the comb teeth instead of entering between the metal pins. For the electric pulse to activate, the flea needs to touch two metal teeth at the same time. If the flea is too large or positioned above the teeth, repeated combing from different angles may be needed.
That is why DocFlea is recommended as a daily grooming tool for early detection, smaller fleas, flea dirt, and routine flea control support.
